  • Create an account with Delta 9. We will connect you with a certified Doctor online. Download your recommendation to your device, present it to any dispensary. 

  • The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) administers the Medical Marijuana Identification Card (MMIC) program. Please visit your county’s website for more information.

  • The MMJ card may be given by any MD Medical Doctor or OD Osteopathic Doctor.

    The MMIC is only give by the county office of the county you live in. This is an additional step, once you obtain your MMJ card.

  • Yes, minors can apply with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must act as the primary caregiver. They must present medical documentation from their current doctor with a diagnosis of preexisting condition.

  • Yes, your information is private and safe; no one has access to our system. Your information would only be shared if it ever was subpoenaed by the court.

  • Yes, you must renew every year and must speak to the doctor every year you renew. At Delta 9 we make the process easy please call us or connect with the Doctor online to renew your MMJ card today.

  • No, unfortunately California does not accept MMJ card from other states. Although California patients may use their medical card in other states like Nevada and New Mexico. Please visit the states website prior to visiting to ensure you have the most up to date information.

  • Each state has different requirements and regulations, please ensure you visit the states website prior to visiting any state. The following states currently accept out of State Medical Marijuana Cards: Delaware, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Washington D.C.

  • Currently, medical marijuana is not covered by health insurance in California. The cost associated with obtaining a medical marijuana recommendation, purchasing cannabis products, and related expenses are the responsibility of the patient.

  • You will receive your MMJ ID card in the mail within 7 days. You will always use the document you download as a PDF to show the dispensary any time you visit. The PDF is your original recommendation your ID card is secondary. We do not mail printed paper recommendation unless requested. Please feel free to print your recommendation in color on any printer.
